Former Madison radio personality Matthew Bradshaw Jones has been sentenced to three years in prison for child pornography possession.

Known as Jackson Jones while working in Wisconsin for country music station Q106, Jones pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography during a court appearance on Monday, Channel3000 reports.  In addition to his prison time, Judge Ellen Berz sentenced him to three years of extended supervision following his jail term.

According to NBC15, police arrested Jones at his home on Mount Horeb in February 2021. At one point he faced 10 felony counts of possession of child pornography and initially pled not guilty to all of them. The remaining nine counts were dismissed but read into the record during sentencing.

As part of the criminal complaint filed against him, police said they were able to find a Tumblr account linked to Jones where he talked to and solicited pictures from underage girls. Though he never sent any photos of his own, in the end authorities said they had 1,200 pictures, 50 conversations and 350 posts as evidence against Jones at the time of his arrest.

During court proceedings Jones apologized for his actions, telling the court: “I do understand that saying sorry and taking responsibility does not fix what I did. I wish it did. I can’t do anything about what happened before; what I can do is try my best to make an effort in my life moving forward to never let anyone down like this again and never let this happen and prove to people that I really am sorry and fully taking responsibility for the mistake that I made.”
