Madison College set to celebrate grads at May 10 Commencement

Madison College's upcoming Spring Commencement on May 10 is set to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating class, with President Jack E. Daniels expressing admiration for the students' diverse skill sets and achievements. Daniels remarked, "I marvel at many of you who have mastered a new skill in the trades or technical aspects of your chosen profession." He further extended his well wishes to the graduates for successful careers ahead.

The ceremony, to be held at the Alliant Energy Center Veterans Memorial Coliseum, will also be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person. Over 1,700 students will mark a significant milestone in their academic journey, with a significant portion of them staying within the district, contributing to the local workforce and community.

In addition to the general Commencement, the month of celebrations at Madison College includes events dedicated to Black, Latinx, and Native American graduates, as well as ceremonies for specific programs like the Law Enforcement Academy and nursing pinning. The institution, with multiple campuses, offers a wide range of degree programs and transfer options for students.

Family and friends are encouraged to attend the event, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. No tickets are required for entry, and free parking will be provided for attendees.
