Agrace, a healthcare organization based in Madison, Wisconsin, is launching a new educational initiative aimed at supporting caregivers of individuals with dementia. The program, titled “Learning to Live with Dementia,” consists of eight classes designed to provide insights and support for those navigating the challenges of dementia care.

The classes are led by experienced Agrace staff alongside community experts who specialize in dementia care. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the unique needs of people living with dementia and engage with others facing similar caregiving experiences.

Each class costs $20 and can be attended either in person at Agrace’s Fitchburg location or online via Microsoft Teams. The series covers various topics, including legal and financial planning, facility care options, and strategies for assisting individuals who live alone with dementia.

“Whether you’re new to caregiving or have been supporting a loved one for years, these classes will help you navigate legal and financial planning, options for facility care and strategies to help individuals who are living alone with dementia,” an Agrace representative stated. Importantly, participation is open to all caregivers seeking guidance and support; there is no requirement to be receiving services from Agrace.

The educational series aims to equip caregivers with practical knowledge and foster a supportive community among those involved in dementia care.
