Ald. Sabrina Madison, serving as Acting Mayor from July 3 to July 6, is organizing a coffee house tour across Madison. The initiative invites residents to join her for coffee, discuss city matters, and support local businesses. This event is scheduled for Thursday, July 3, and includes a visit to the west side of the city, which is unusual for Alder Madison who typically represents the east side.
The tour begins at Java Cat Coffeehouse on Lien Road from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM. It continues at Mercies Coffee on Eagan Road from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM and then moves to Zippy Lube Coffee & Espresso Bar on Sherman Avenue from 10:15 AM to 11:00 AM. Following this, Cargo Coffee – South on Park Street will host from 11:30 AM to noon.
In the afternoon, Rasta Barista on Park Street welcomes visitors from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM. Lakeside Street Coffee House will be open for discussions from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM. Steep & Brew West on Odana Road will have its turn from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM before concluding at Cargo Coffee East on Washington Avenue between 3:00 PM and 3:45 PM.
Additionally, Acting Mayor Madison plans appearances at the July Fourth celebrations in both Tenney-Lapham and Regent Street neighborhoods.
