Bank of Wisconsin, a branch of Bank of Sun Prairie, was established after the successful merger with Banner Banks, according to a May 5 announcement by Jimmy Kauffman, president and CEO. The newly merged institution now operates as a community bank with four branches serving north-central Wisconsin.

The merger brings together two banks that were both chartered in 1903. The combined entity aims to strengthen relationships within the communities it serves and provide support for individuals, families, nonprofits, towns, cities, schools, agriculture, and businesses.

The bank reports offering advanced and secure technologies such as online and mobile banking services. Customers have access to a range of deposit account options for personal and business use as well as expanded lending limits. Additional offerings include tailored business solutions and cash management services.

Jimmy Kauffman said: “Bringing our two banks together has not only expanded our footprint in this great state but has also aligned our organizations, our colleagues and our customers under our shared values as a community bank that shows up for one another in every way.” He added: “We have enhanced products and top-notch customer service, and we are also able to double-down on our commitment to the agricultural sector and to offering more to businesses and all our neighbors throughout the region.”

Bank of Wisconsin is now part of Bank of Sun Prairie with $848 million in assets across eight branches located in six communities: Sun Prairie, Cottage Grove, Birnamwood, Hatley, Wittenberg and Antigo. The organization describes its mission as being a trusted advisor supporting people through financial services.
