Dane County Districts: Which ethnicity was most represented in 2024-25 school year?

The majority of students in Dane County districts were white in the 2024-25 school year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of the 77,605 students attending Dane County district schools, 59.9% were white. Hispanic students were the second largest ethnic group within Dane County’s districts, making up 16.1% of the student body.

In the previous school year, white students were also the most common group in Dane County districts, representing 60.7% of the student body.
