Cree has worked in the district for 13 years, beginning her career as a teacher at Sauk Trail Elementary School. She later moved to Kromrey Middle School, where she served in various roles including encore teacher, classroom teacher, and most recently, instructional coach. In her new position, Cree will join Principal Dom Ricks and Associate Principal Eric Engel on the school’s leadership team.

“Joanna clearly demonstrated the key factors we are looking for in a new member of our leadership team,” said Ricks. “We are excited for what she will continue to contribute to the middle level within her new role.”

As an instructional coach, Cree played a role in developing collaborative planning teams (C3s) and organizing professional learning opportunities. She also mentored new teachers.

“I firmly believe that the most effective solutions and greatest progress emerge when we work together,” Cree said. “I love learning alongside staff and students to contribute to a collaborative and learning culture as we strive to continue to engage and empower our students to achieve their dreams.”
