Kirsten Andreoni has been appointed as the next principal of Northside Elementary in the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District, according to an April 14 announcement.
Andreoni’s selection marks a leadership change for Northside Elementary. She brings extensive experience from her roles at Patrick Marsh, where she served as associate principal for two years and previously worked as both an AVID teacher and instructional coach.
“It is with a heavy heart, yet a spirit of gratitude, that I share my decision to transition to a principal role in another district,’’ Andreoni said. “I am overwhelmed by the growth I’ve experienced and the community I’ve found within this district. I want to extend my sincerest thanks to the leaders and colleagues who have consistently advocated for my professional journey, pouring their time, wisdom, and resources into my development.
“The support I received here has truly shaped the leader I am today. While I am excited for this next chapter, a significant piece of my heart remains with the students and staff of this district, and I will always carry with me the lessons and memories of our shared work.’’
Andreoni’s career in education spans three decades. She spent 25 years at Delavan-Darien School District—22 years at elementary schools and three at middle schools—before joining Sun Prairie Area School District (SPASD). In addition to her school roles, she has served on the board of the Sun Prairie Business Education Partnership (BEP), which was established in 1989 as a nonprofit organization focused on preparing students with essential life and career skills.
Director of Secondary Teaching, Learning and Equity Sarah Chaja-Clardy along with incoming Patrick Marsh principal Shawn Bartelt are set to begin filling Andreoni’s former assistant principal position this week. SPASD assistant superintendent of operations Nick Reichhoff said: “We appreciate all of Kirsten’s contributions to the Patrick Marsh community and the district over the last four years.’’
Andreoni’s move highlights ongoing changes within local school leadership while emphasizing continued collaboration between area districts.
