Kirsten Andreoni has been selected as the next principal of Northside Elementary School, effective July 1, according to an April 14 announcement from the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District.
Andreoni will take over leadership following the retirement of current principal Sylla Zarov, who is stepping down after decades in public education. The transition is planned to be collaborative, with Andreoni and Zarov working together in the coming months to ensure continuity for students, staff, and families.
Andreoni brings experience from her work as a classroom teacher for grades one through three, an instructional coach, and most recently as associate principal at Patrick Marsh Middle School in the Sun Prairie Area School District. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education from UW-Stevens Point and a master’s degree from Walden University.
The district said it was drawn to Andreoni because of her belief that schools are central to their communities and her commitment to building relationships with families. “She is committed to building genuine relationships with families and ensuring that every child feels known, safe, and supported,” according to the announcement. The statement also noted that she views partnerships with caregivers as essential for student success.
