Madison College announces Spring 2026 commencement for May 15 at Alliant Energy Center

Madison Area Technical College announced on May 1 that its Spring 2026 Commencement Ceremony will take place on May 15 at the Alliant Energy Center’s Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Madison. The event will honor approximately 2,444 students who are earning associate degrees, technical diplomas, certificates, and completing apprenticeships.

The ceremony is open to family, friends, and the community with both in-person attendance and a livestream option available. No tickets are required for entry; seating is general admission and doors open at 4 p.m., with the ceremony beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Camila Alcantara Perez, an Early College STEM Academy student from Verona Area High School, has been selected as the student commencement speaker. She represents one of many graduates whose backgrounds range from teenagers earning early college credit to adult learners over age 62. The largest number of graduates this spring are completing programs aligned with regional workforce needs such as nursing and emergency medical technician training. The University Transfer program is also a significant part of this year’s graduating class.

The college features state-of-the-art facilities designed to mimic workplace environments for practical training according to the official website.
