Madison College’s Centers for Simulation and Innovation, Health Simulation Center, has received re-endorsement from the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL). The center was first endorsed in 2020 and remains the first technical or community college in the United States to be formally recognized by INACSL.
The endorsement is based on Madison College’s continued adherence to evidence-based simulation practices designed to improve healthcare education and student readiness. The Health Simulation Center has met INACSL’s Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice since its initial recognition.
“This re-endorsement is a testament to the dedication, innovation, and impact of our simulation faculty and staff,” said Jeffrey Wenzel, Simulation Center Director. “Our simulation programs are transforming how students learn and preparing them to meet the demands of today’s healthcare environment with competence and confidence.”
The announcement was made at the July 2025 INACSL Conference, which brings together leaders in healthcare simulation education from around the world.
Each year, Madison College’s Health Simulation Center supports more than 2,500 students across all Schools of Nursing, Health, and Human and Protective Services within the district. The facility uses advanced technology including high-fidelity manikins, a Standardized Patient program, and extended reality tools to provide over 10,000 hours of simulated clinical education annually.
