The Madison Fire Department is seeking public involvement in the recruitment process for its next class of firefighter/EMT recruits. The department invites community members to participate in interviews and provide feedback as part of a Community Panel.

Participants will assist in interviewing candidates, offering insights to hiring authorities. The application process is designed to select top candidates for serving the community, making public input a valuable component.

Interviews are scheduled from Tuesday, July 8 to Thursday, July 10 at Madison College’s Protective Services Education Center located at 1701 Pearson Street. Participants are asked to commit for a full day, with food and refreshments provided.

Interested individuals should contact Division Chief Paul Ripp via email at pripp@cityofmadison.com by Friday, June 6, 2025.
