The City of Madison is inviting the public to observe a test of election equipment on Monday, June 9. This event is part of the Clerk’s Office routine procedure before each election to ensure that the DS200 tabulators are functioning correctly and will accurately tally votes on Election Day.

The public test is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. at 2713 E. Washington Ave. on Monday, June 9. Public involvement in this process helps maintain transparency and integrity within the election system.

During the test, personnel from the Clerk’s Office will secure each machine’s ballot box and scanner using tamper-evident seals with unique serial numbers. These numbers are recorded on the Inspectors’ Statement for each polling location. On Election Day, poll workers will verify these serial numbers when opening the polls.
