Madison Public Library has announced several closures and changes in operating hours for the month of May. On Thursday, May 15, all library locations will be closed for a staff in-service day. Additionally, Sunday, May 18 marks the last day for Sunday hours at Central, Goodman South Madison, and Lakeview Libraries before they resume after Labor Day in the fall.

In observance of Memorial Day, all library locations will be closed from Sunday, May 25 to Monday, May 26. During this period, the Dream Bus service will also be suspended.

Despite these closures, library cardholders can continue using LINKcat to place holds and check records online. Book returns remain open around the clock with Pinney Library offering a drive-through book drop for convenience.

The library’s digital resources such as Wisconsin’s Digital Library for eBooks and audiobooks, Kanopy streaming video, and Flipster magazines are available online. Patrons can visit madpl.org/at-home for additional resources accessible through the Library @ Home page.

For community needs such as food or shelter during closures, patrons are encouraged to contact 211 Wisconsin. Further information on City of Madison holiday closures is available.
