Starting August 20, Nakoma Road will be closed to all traffic between Tumalo Trail and Manitou Way. According to city officials, Cherokee Drive will also be fully closed at its intersection with Nakoma Road.

Bus routes and local traffic will be redirected via Manitou Way in both directions. Information about the Metro Transit detours is available on the city’s website.

Most vehicles are expected to use a main detour route that follows Midvale Boulevard and Odana Road. Further details and background information about the project can be found on the Engineering Department’s Nakoma Road Project page.
