On Wednesday, April 30, former Verona Area High School standout Hilary Blomberg’s current college team, the Wisconsin Badgers, won 14-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Green Bay Phoenix.
The game took place at Goodman Softball Complex. This was their second matchup against the Phoenix this season.
The Badgers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, May 2 at 4 p.m. at Goodman Softball Complex against Omaha Mavericks.
Middleton High School’s Theatre Department earned top honors at this year’s Jerry Awards with its production of Hadestown: Teen Edition. Several students were individually recognized as well. The department will perform at an upcoming awards ceremony.
Three seniors at Middleton High School have received National Merit $2,500 Scholarships for their academic achievements. The recipients were chosen from more than 15,000 finalists nationwide based on academics, test scores, leadership roles, essays, and recommendations.
Senator Kelda Roys of Madison presented testimony on March 4, 2026, in support of two bills during a Senate Committee hearing focused on utilities, technology, and tourism.
