Rep. Bob Donovan, a Republican representing Wisconsin’s 61st House district since 2025, recently addressed public safety and law enforcement issues in a series of posts on his official social media account.

On October 16, 2025, Donovan issued a warning to reckless drivers, stating, “Reckless drivers beware. Accountability is coming. If you drive like an idiot, you may just have your car towed on the spot.

Later that day, Donovan discussed interagency cooperation in Milwaukee County and highlighted legislative efforts to improve law enforcement coordination. He wrote on October 16, 2025: “Milwaukee County has 19 police departments and a Sheriff’s Department. Coordination between them is always ongoing when crime crosses city borders.

My legislation, which passed the Assembly, provides grants for technology to improve that coordination. https://t.co/1Ij6dFPop9“.

In another post from October 16, 2025, Donovan commented on a recent report concerning investigations by the Department of Public Instruction (DPI). He stated: “There are so many glaring issues that have come from this report it is shocking.

However, dropping investigations, which could lead to criminal charges, because an individual surrenders their license might be the most egregious.

DPI may have let predators off the hook. https://t.co/IhV3IRzSDM“.

Donovan succeeded Amanda Nedweski as state representative for Wisconsin’s 61st House district after being elected in 2025.
