Rep. Bob Donovan, a Republican representing Wisconsin’s 61st House district, has recently used his social media platform to comment on local events and public policy decisions.

On August 13, 2025, Donovan congratulated the Milwaukee Brewers, stating: “Congrats to the @brewers on a job well done! Milwaukee could use the pick-me-up right now. Looking forward to the giveaway date in order to hold office hours at the local locations in district. Thank you, Brewers!”

Two days later, on August 15, 2025, he again referenced the Brewers’ success and announced plans for community engagement: “The Brewers have done it, which means free burgers for you and me! I certainly plan on celebrating and I want you to join me. Additionally, I will be able to meet with and discuss state government with anyone who would like to join me. Look forward to seeing you there!”

In addition to celebrating sports achievements, Donovan commented on policing policy in Milwaukee. On August 14, 2025 he wrote: “I believe when people make good decisions, they should be praised. Chief Norman’s call to ‘heavily modify’ the burdensome Collins Agreement is a great first step. This agreement has decimated proactive policing and hampered police efforts.”

Donovan was elected in 2025 as a Republican representative for Wisconsin’s 61st House district after succeeding Amanda Nedweski.
