Rep. Bob Donovan, a Republican member of the Wisconsin State House representing the 61st district, recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative actions and honor local law enforcement officers.

On October 14, 2025, Donovan posted: “The Legislature is honoring our great first responders today who do a great service to our community. Additionally, pivotal public safety legislation will be voted on including my own bills, AB 77 and AB 278.”

Later that day, Donovan recognized a Milwaukee Police Department officer: “I was honored to recognize @MilwaukeePolice Officer Daniel Gonzales as the First Responder of the Year for the 61st District for his bravery in the line of duty.

On October 15, 2025, Donovan further detailed the recognition: “I was extremely honored to award Officer Daniel Gonzales of the Milwaukee Police Department the award of First Responder of the Year for the 61st Assembly District.

In February of 2025, Officer Gonzales and Officer Joseph Binter responded to a call of an individual in Milwaukee”.

Donovan was elected in 2025 to represent Wisconsin’s 61st House district, succeeding Amanda Nedweski. He has prioritized public safety and community recognition in his legislative agenda.
