Rep. Mark Pocan, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin’s 2nd district, shared his thoughts on various issues through a series of tweets on January 30, 2025. His posts reflect both local engagement and national political concerns.

In a tweet from January 30, Rep. Pocan expressed appreciation for spending time with constituents outside Washington D.C., stating: “It’s always great to get out of D.C. and spend time with folks in the district to chat about what’s on their mind!”

Later that day, Rep. Pocan commented on the state of affairs under the new administration: “10 days into the new Trump Administration and all we’ve got is confusion and chaos. Nothing yet on lowering costs…” This reflects his criticism regarding the administration’s early performance.

Additionally, he addressed concerns over education policy changes implemented by President Trump: “This is an attack on public education. Trump is funneling taxpayer dollars from public schools to private schools, many of which have lower standards & worse student outcomes. This will hurt students & further overburden public school teachers.”
