Senator Julian Bradley has presented the Forward28 Award to Richard Taczala of New Berlin. This award recognizes Taczala’s dedication to veterans’ causes within the community.

Richard Taczala, a Navy veteran who served in Vietnam, continues to serve his community long after his military service. He participates in various activities such as honoring fallen heroes with the VFW Honor Guard and raising funds through poppy sales. He also acts as an unofficial ambassador for the New Berlin Veterans Memorial Society.

“Rick Taczala is the kind of citizen who makes Wisconsin stronger,” said Senator Bradley. “His commitment and dedication to the country, our community, and his fellow veterans is exactly what the Forward28 Award is about.”

Taczala serves on the Board of Directors of the New Berlin Veterans Memorial Society and is actively involved with both the New Berlin V.F.W. and broader community events like Flag Day and Memorial Day ceremonies.
