he State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB) has launched “The SWIB Podcast: Wisconsin Retirement System Insights,” a monthly podcast series to provide information about the investment strategies being used to generate the returns necessary to keep the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) fully funded and positioned for success. The latest episode, featuring SWIB Private Markets and Funds Alpha Managing Director Anne-Marie Fink, is available now on SWIB’s website, www.swib.state.wi.us/podcasts, and on most major podcast platforms including iTunes, Google Play, iHeart Radio, and Spotify.

Each month, the SWIB Podcast, which is produced in partnership with Milwaukee-based Podcamp Media, listeners will hear from SWIB’s highly qualified staff. This month, Fink talks about how SWIB’s private markets and funds alpha portfolios play an important role in SWIB’s diverse and robust investment strategy.

“We are excited to offer this podcast series as another way to continue to remain connected to the over 652,000 members of the WRS,” SWIB Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer David Villa said. “Each episode is an excellent opportunity for members of the WRS to learn a little bit more about the people and practices behind how their pension fund is managed.”

The SWIB Podcast launched in July with its premier episode featuring Villa, who talked about SWIB’s investment strategy and how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the trust funds. That episode is also available on the SWIB website and on your favorite podcast platform.
