Burn Education Summer Burn Injuries to be held July 20

Burn Education Summer Burn Injuries

Tue, July 20, 2021

6-7 p.m.

Dr. Alexandra Lacey, UW Health Burn Surgeon will discuss prehospital care needs for individuals with burn injuries related to bonfires, brush fires, firework explosions, hot ashes, hot asphalt, and road rash. She will walk you through the care approach for each injury and provide guidelines to help you recognize when patients with these types of injuries will benefit from a transfer to a burn center.

Questions and discussion are encouraged for a robust education event.

EMS providers (all levels) and emergency department staff are welcome to attend.

The event is free. CEUs will be provided for EMS providers.

The event is an online WebEx hosted by the Emergency Education Center.
