The University of Wisconsin women's softball team is looking forward to being back within the confines of the Goodman Softball Complex.
Off to an 18-7, 3-0 start, the Lady Badgers are set to host their first home game of the season on April 1, taking on Big 10 rival Indiana University at 3 p.m. The series marks the first for the Badgers at home at where fans will be allowed since UW faced Nebraska in early May of 2019. Since 2018, UW has posted a 25-12 record at Goodman Diamond.

Wisconsin comes into battle against Indiana on a high, on an overall eight game winning streak (the team’s longest since 2019) and fresh off of sweeping Iowa to become just one of three teams in the conference to remain unbeaten in league play, according to the school's website. In their eight straight wins, Wisconsin has outscored opponents 69-24, including a 16-3 advantage in the first inning.
Against Iowa, Fiona Girardot hit .417 in the doubleheader sweep and Maddie Schwartz recorded three wins in the series to improve to 12-3 on the season. Entering the series leading the Big Ten in on-base percentage at .559, slugger Kayla Konwent drew nine walks during the doubleheader, including eight intentional passes.
In three career games against the Lay Hoosiers, Konwent has five hits and two homers.
Over the streak, Konwent, Girardot, Peyton Bannon, Lauren Foster, Ally Miklesh and Morgan Kummer have all hit over .400, while Schwartz has earned six wins with a 1.94 ERA and 25 shutouts.
