Booster Update: 5-11 Year Olds Now Eligible

Booster

City of Sun Prairie issued the following announcement on June 7.

Fully Vaccinated & Up to Date: What’s the Difference?

Fully Vaccinated

A person is fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving all recommended doses in the primary series of their COVID-19 vaccination. If you’ve received two doses of Pfizer or Moderna or one dose of Johnson & Johnson, you’re fully vaccinated.

Up to Date

A person is up to date with their COVID-19 vaccination if they have received all recommended doses in the primary series and one booster  when eligible. At this time, to be considered up to date, you do not need to have a second booster (though we recommend them for people who are eligible).

COVID-19 Booster Doses for Most People

Everyone ages 5+ is eligible to get vaccinated and receive their booster. However, when you can get that booster depends on a few factors including which vaccine you received, your age, and whether you’re immunocompromised.
