Census Bureau: 79.6% of people in Dane County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 555,474 citizens living in Dane County in 2021, 79.6% were old enough to vote, equating to 442,096 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 219,241 were male, constituting 49.6%, and 222,855 were female, making up 50.4%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Dane County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 78%.
