The Madison Arts Commission and the Bubbler at Madison Public Library have announced Jennifer Bastian as the 2024 Thurber Park Artist-in-Residence.
The Thurber Park Artist Residency, initiated in 2019, is hosted at a dedicated art studio located at 3325 Thurber Avenue. The program provides the selected artist with a rent-free studio space for 11 months and a stipend. The residency also offers the opportunity to create an outdoor public artwork for consideration by the City of Madison.
During her residency, Bastian will collaborate with the Bubbler at Madison Public Library to engage with the local community through open studio days, community workshops, or other activities agreed upon by the artist and residency administrators.
