Rep. Mark Pocan discusses tariffs and LGBTQI+ issues on social media

Rep. Mark Pocan, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Wisconsin’s 2nd district, made several public statements on April 4, 2025, concerning economic policies and social issues via his social media platform. These statements reflect various areas of concern and activities that the Congressman is currently engaged in.

In one of his remarks shared on April 4, Pocan addressed public awareness regarding the Democrats' implementation of a consumer-friendly regulation, saying "Too many Americans don’t know Democrats created the one-click cancellation rule. Former FTC Chair @LinaMKhan tells me more on my podcast."

In another post shared the same day, Pocan critiqued former President Donald Trump's economic policies, particularly tariffs, stating "Trump's across the board tariffs are simply taxes on the average American."

Pocan also took the opportunity to highlight his work as a Co-Chair of the @EqualityCaucus. On April 4, he emphasized his commitment to addressing discrimination based on sexual orientation and combating bullying, expressing "As a Co-Chair of the @EqualityCaucus, I’m fighting to break the silence around anti-LGBTQI+ bias and bullying against students. #DayOfNoSilence"
