Representative Mark Pocan, known for his active involvement in political discourse, posted a series of tweets conveying his views regarding significant economic and political issues. As a long-standing member of the U.S. Congress for Wisconsin’s 2nd district, Pocan remains vocal on matters impacting the public and governance.

On April 13, 2025, Pocan highlighted Musk's business practices with a statement: "Reminder: Elon Musk took taxpayer money to build his empire, then turned around and cut jobs, gutted services, and fought unions that benefit everyone else."

In a tweet from April 14, 2025, Pocan criticized former President Trump's tariffs, noting, "Trump claimed his across-the-board tariffs were 'fair.' They are just stupid. I explain the concept of 'fair' to Trump with @rep_jackson by using a magic trick."

Later the same day, he expressed strong opposition to unspecified actions he described as concerning, using words like "Illegal. Unconstitutional. Inhumane." In his tweet, he called upon fellow Republicans to denounce these actions: "Every Republican in Congress must condemn this madman immediately."

Pocan has consistently served Wisconsin's 2nd District in Congress since 2013, following terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly and the Dane County board of supervisors. Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Pocan graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
