Madison College to host its first AAPI celebration on May 17

Madison College will host its inaugural Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) celebration on May 17 at the Truax campus. This event aims to bring together Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders to celebrate their cultures, traditions, and stories. Planned activities include a variety of foods, live performances, children's activities, an Asian heritage exhibit, and a silent auction.

The Division of College, Culture, and Climate at Madison College, along with AMASIAN and local community leaders, will organize the celebration. The college emphasizes this event as part of its commitment to cultural understanding and inclusivity.

The event will take place at the Madison College Truax Campus, specifically at Room D1630, Diane's Diner, and the International Exchange Center, from 1 to 5 p.m. Free parking will be available. The celebration is open to the public at no cost, and registration is encouraged.
