The Greater Madison Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is seeking input from residents to shape the future of active transportation in Dane County. The organization has launched a survey aimed at gathering feedback that will contribute to the development of a new Active Transportation Plan for the region.

This plan aims to enhance safety and accessibility for walking, biking, and rolling, which includes using wheelchairs and other mobility devices. The insights gathered from the survey will also be shared with local communities such as Fitchburg, Madison, and Middleton, which are conducting their own active transportation planning efforts this year.

Residents have an opportunity to influence how these modes of transportation are integrated into the community infrastructure by participating in this initiative.
