On May 13, 2025, Rep. Donovan acknowledged National Police Week with an expression of gratitude towards police officers. He emphasized their year-round dedication and service to communities across Wisconsin, stating that "One week is not enough to thank them for their service, but we appreciate their dedication to their community and Wisconsin."

Later on the same day, Rep. Donovan highlighted legislative progress in the Wisconsin Assembly regarding healthcare affordability. He announced that "the Assembly passed legislation to support Wisconsinites as they combat healthcare costs." The legislation, referred to as AB 8, aims to maintain Direct Primary Care as a non-insurance option that offers consumers savings through flat-rate payments or subscriptions.

On May 14, 2025, Rep. Donovan voiced his concerns over the state of affairs in Milwaukee with a direct message aimed at Chief Norman. In his tweet, he questioned the current situation by asking "What the hell is going on in Milwaukee?" urging Chief Norman to take action and regain control over the city.
