There will be no collections by the City of Madison Streets Division on Monday, May 26, 2025, due to the Memorial Day holiday. This includes recycling, trash, brush, and large item pickups. Additionally, all Streets Division drop-off sites will be closed on that day.

Residents are advised to check their collection calendars for adjustments to the schedule. Calendars can be downloaded from the Streets Division’s website or requested via mail by contacting their offices.

For those who typically have Monday pickups, carts should be placed at the curb by 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27. Collections normally scheduled for Tuesday will also occur on this day. Any residents who set out carts after 6:30 a.m. may miss their pickup and will need to wait until the next scheduled collection.

The drop-off sites will resume operations during regular hours on Tuesday, May 27. Residents can visit the drop-off site webpage for details about hours and rules or use the online Recyclopedia tool to determine if specific items can be brought to these sites.

Large item collections are also affected by the holiday; crews will start picking up scheduled large items beginning Tuesday, May 27.

Further information about Streets Division services is available on their website.
