Senator Julian Bradley, along with Assembly Speaker Robin Vos and Representative Jim Piwowarczyk, presented testimony on a bill aimed at addressing crimes committed by illegal immigrants. The bill's authors were present to advocate for the proposal.

Senator Bradley emphasized the importance of the legislation, stating, “Let’s be clear here, this proposal will make it easier to remove dangerous criminals from our communities.” He expressed concern about some law enforcement and government officials who he believes prioritize protecting felons over collaborating with federal partners to combat crime and drug flow into neighborhoods.

The context for this legislative push includes data indicating that as of last July, more than 660,000 noncitizens with criminal histories were listed on ICE’s national docket. Most of these individuals were not detained at that time.
