Starting at 7:00 am on Friday, June 13th, R.G. Huston's paving contractor will commence final surface paving operations on Wilson Street. This work will result in a full closure from S. Franklin Street to S. Pinckney Street. However, local access will be maintained via S. Hancock Street.

On Saturday, June 14th, the pavement marking contractor for R.G. Huston will begin applying final pavement markings on E. Wilson Street, continuing the full road closure until the end of the day when it is anticipated to reopen.

Local residents needing access to 151 E. Wilson Street via the back alley are advised to use E. Main Street to S. Hancock Street.

During this period, general traffic detours and changes include converting S. Hancock into two-way traffic during paving operations. Eastbound Doty Street traffic should detour using S. Webster Street to E. Main Street to reach S. Blair Street, while westbound E. Wilson Street traffic should detour using S. Franklin Street to E. Main Street and then onto S. Pinckney Street before accessing E. Wilson Street.

Metro Buses will be rerouted onto E. Main Street starting at the end of Thursday (6/12) and continuing through all day Saturday (6/14). Normal service is expected to resume on Sunday (6/15). Further details can be found on Metro Transit's website.

In case of weather delays preventing work from being performed as scheduled, paving operations would shift to Saturday, June 14 with pavement markings being installed on Monday, June 16.

Further information about the project can be found by learning more about the E Wilson Street and E Doty Street Reconstruction Project.
