Rep. Bob Donovan, a political figure known for his active engagement on social media, recently shared his thoughts on various issues affecting Milwaukee. Through a series of tweets, he expressed his concerns about public safety and law enforcement in the community.

On June 10, 2025, Rep. Donovan commented on activities disrupting traffic in Milwaukee during the summer months. He stated, "It must be summertime in Milwaukee. This nonsense does nothing but block traffic and burn rubber for some cheap clicks on social media." He urged those involved to cease such activities by saying, "Get the hell off the street."

Later that day, Rep. Donovan addressed attitudes towards legality and order within the community. He quoted a dismissive response to legal concerns with “Are you concerned if this is illegal?” “Hell no”. He remarked on the consequences of tolerating disorder by stating, "This is what you get when you enable chaos in your community. You get more of it and open contempt for the rule of law."

On June 11, 2025, Rep. Donovan commended law enforcement efforts through another tweet. He praised their work by saying "Good work on behalf of law enforcement." He questioned the purpose of laws without proper enforcement with his comment, "What good is a law if it's not enforced?"

Milwaukee has been experiencing an increase in unauthorized street racing events during summer months.
