There will be no recycling, trash, brush, or large item collections conducted by the City of Madison Streets Division on Thursday, June 19, 2025. This pause in services is due to the observance of the Juneteenth holiday.

The closure also affects the Streets Division drop-off sites and offices. Residents who typically have their trash and recycling collected on Thursdays should instead place their scheduled carts out for pickup by 6:30 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025. Those with regular Friday collection should do the same.

Residents are advised that setting out carts after 6:30 a.m. may result in missed collection, necessitating waiting until the next scheduled pickup day.

Streets Division drop-off sites will not operate on Thursday, June 19 but will resume regular hours on Friday, June 20. However, it's important to note that the Olin Avenue drop-off site remains closed on Fridays as part of its usual schedule.

Large item collection will continue throughout the week but will pause for Juneteenth on June 19. It will resume for any remaining scheduled stops on Friday, June 20. Residents are encouraged to keep their scheduled items out for collection if they were not picked up before the holiday.

For more information about all services provided by Streets Division staff, residents can visit www.cityofmadison.com/streets.
