Kristi Ninedorf, a 2002 graduate of the Sun Prairie Area School District, has been named the 2024-25 Wall of Success Honoree. The district announced her recognition for her contributions and commitment to inclusivity within the Sun Prairie community.
Ninedorf is the owner and lead dance teacher at Dancing Through Life, a studio she opened in 2010. The studio provides accessible dance education for individuals of all abilities, with a focus on those with special needs. She collaborates closely with the Sun Prairie Parks and Recreation Department to further this mission.
With 23 years of teaching experience, Ninedorf offers lessons to children of various ages and abilities, emphasizing accessibility while maintaining high standards. Her efforts have garnered praise from community members who note her role as a positive influence.
“Kristi has always been a positive role model for the kids she has worked with at the Sun Prairie Park district. She has been recognized at many dance competitions not only with placement awards for her dances but with awards such as ‘most respectful studio,’” stated one community member.
In addition to her work at the dance studio, Ninedorf is recognized for her involvement in developing and teaching the Little Cardinals program through the Sun Prairie Parks and Recreation Department. This initiative provides inclusive education for young children preparing for school in SPASD.
“My focus has often been on creating a better world through advocacy for youth who experience and perceive the world differently,” Ninedorf expressed regarding her approach to education.
The SPASD honors graduates who make significant contributions to their area and uphold its legacy of excellence. Kristi Ninedorf's dedication aligns with this mission by empowering students of all abilities beyond just dance instruction.
The Wall of Success plaque is displayed on what was once known as “School House Hill,” which served as Sun Prairie's original high school campus. Visitors can view these plaques during school board meetings held in the Professional Learning Center.
