There will be no trash, recycling, brush, or large item collection on Friday, July 4, 2025, by the Streets Division in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The Streets Division drop-off sites and offices will also be closed.

Madison residents who normally have their trash and recycling collected on Friday should instead place their carts out for collection by 6:30 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025. Residents that have a regularly scheduled Monday pickup will also have their carts emptied on July 7. It is important to ensure that the carts are out by 6:30 a.m. to guarantee collection. Carts set out late may miss their pickup opportunity.

The public is encouraged to download a copy of the trash and recycling collection schedule from the Streets Division's website to avoid missing collections.

Streets Division drop-off sites will remain closed on Friday, July 4, but will reopen for normal hours on Saturday, July 5. Information about drop-off site hours, rules, and accepted materials can be found online.

For more details about the Streets Division’s services, residents can visit the website or contact their offices.
