The Madison Metropolitan School District has introduced a new communication platform, ParentSquare, aimed at enhancing school-to-home interactions. The platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and engaged with the schools in a secure manner.
ParentSquare offers various features for users, including sending and receiving school communications, notifications through email, text, phone calls or the ParentSquare app, sharing pictures and files, direct messaging with teachers or school administrators, viewing calendar items, scheduling parent-teacher conferences, and more. These services are centralized within one platform.
Emails will be sent from names such as "Madison Metropolitan School District via ParentSquare," "MMSD Communications via ParentSquare," or "[school or staff name] via ParentSquare."
Parents can receive messages without creating an account on ParentSquare; however, registering unlocks additional features such as help guides. To create an account:
1. Visit https://www.parentsquare.com/signin.
2. Enter your email or cell phone number under Register using the same details listed in Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
3. Click Get Started.
Additional resources include a FAQ page and a "Getting Started" video overview available to assist families in navigating the new system. Step-by-step help articles are accessible once an account is created.
For further assistance during this transition to ParentSquare, families are encouraged to contact their respective schools or reach out to the MMSD Communications Department at communications@madison.k12.wi.us.
