Middleton High School students have achieved significant success at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference held in Anaheim, California. A total of 39 students from the school participated in the event, which took place from June 29 to July 2. The conference saw nearly 11,000 students from over 2,000 schools nationwide competing in more than 100 business-related events.
Bill Boehm, FBLA adviser at Middleton High School, expressed his satisfaction with the students' progress and dedication. "Watching students grow throughout the school year is incredibly rewarding," he said. "They dedicate themselves to studying, practicing their presentation skills and incorporating feedback from the regional and state competitions. The National Leadership Conference is a culmination of their hard work, and it’s thrilling to see them shine on a national stage."
The students received national recognition by securing championship positions in two categories: Digital Animation and Parliamentary Procedure. Additionally, they placed in the top ten for three other events: Sports and Entertainment Management, Insurance and Risk Management, and Introduction to Financial Math.
FBLA stands as the largest student business career organization globally. According to Boehm, “Career and technical student organizations like FBLA assist with our classroom instruction, offering hands-on opportunities to apply business concepts, develop leadership skills, and prepare for future careers.”
The following are some of the recognized students:
