Stoughton Hospital has been recognized as the best Critical Access Hospital in Wisconsin for Patient Outcomes by the Lown Institute, a respected healthcare organization. This recognition is based on the hospital's clinical results and patient satisfaction.

The Lown Institute evaluates hospitals on patient outcomes using metrics such as overall death rates, readmission rates, and patient experiences, including cleanliness and communication with doctors. This data is sourced from Medicare claims and patient surveys conducted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

In addition to excelling in patient outcomes, Stoughton Hospital performed well in the Value of Care and Cost categories. The rankings are independent, with no requirement for hospitals to apply or pay for inclusion.

"The Stoughton Health team is outstanding at taking care of our patients, their families, and supporting each other. Our culture of Excellence Together, an employee-driven initiative, ensures we continue to provide the highest quality healthcare in a personalized manner," stated Chris Brabant, Stoughton Health’s President & CEO.

"Achieving excellent patient outcomes requires leadership, communication, and a commitment to keep improving," said Vikas Saini, MD, president of the Lown Institute. "It’s a difficult task, but the hospitals at the top of our list show that it can be done."
