The Dupaco Foundation has distributed $250,000 in grants to 35 nonprofit organizations located in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin. The funding comes from the foundation’s Nonprofit Grant Program and is aimed at addressing needs such as housing insecurity and workforce development.
Joe Hearn, Dupaco Foundation Secretary and President/CEO of Dupaco Community Credit Union, stated: “The Dupaco Foundation board believes that strong communities are built through opportunity, equity and collaboration. These grants are more than financial support – they’re investments in people, in potential and in the future of our region. We’re proud to stand alongside these nonprofits as they create lasting impact.”
This year’s grant recipients were selected from a pool of 115 applications submitted by 501(c)3 public charities. Proposals were assessed based on how well their programs aligned with the foundation’s focus areas, plans to address identified needs, and the likelihood for measurable outcomes.
This is the second year of the current grant program cycle; last year, $250,000 was awarded to 29 organizations. Since its start in 2012, the foundation has provided over $3.2 million in grants across Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
Details about next year’s grant application process will be released early in 2026.
