Several streets in Madison will experience traffic changes on Saturday, August 9th, from 7:00 a.m. to noon due to the annual Madison Mini Marathon. The event includes both a half marathon and a 5k race.

N Park St between Langdon St and University Ave will be fully closed for the start and finish lines. Other roads along the route will remain open, but local access will be maintained. Traffic control measures will be removed after the last runner passes each location.

Organizers advise drivers to allow extra travel time when moving through downtown during the event period.

"Plan on extra travel time when traveling downtown during the event."

For more details about routes and maps, residents can visit the Madison Mini event website at https://www.madisonminimarathon.com/.

Madison Metro bus routes will also see some detours because of the race. Information about these changes is available on Metro’s website at https://www.cityofmadison.com/metro/detours.
