Metro Transit announces expanded service to Verona and multiple route adjustments

Metro Transit will introduce several changes to its bus routes and schedules starting Sunday, August 17. One significant change is the expansion of service to Verona, Wisconsin through a new Route D2, created in partnership with the City of Verona. This new route will provide service every 30 minutes on weekdays and hourly during nights and weekends. It will connect riders to destinations such as Verona Park & Ride, Verona Area High School, and Epic Systems.

Additional adjustments across the Metro Transit system include updates for several other routes:

- Route B: Map changes near the Central Wisconsin Center.

- Route C: Minor schedule updates.

- Route D: Extension of D2 to Verona and adjustments to D1.

- Route E: Updates to timepoints.

- Route F: Timepoint update at Capitol Square and schedule changes.

- Route R: Timepoint update at Capitol Square and schedule changes.

- Route S: Downtown routing change near Market Street.

- Routes 28 & 38: Schedule and map updates due to construction on University Row.

- Route 75: Trips reallocated to the new D2 route; timepoint update at Capitol Square.

Riders are encouraged to review updated maps and schedules, which are available online at MyMetroBus.com/AugustUpdates. Updated trip planning data will be accessible beginning August 17.
