Madison College and the City of Madison Common Council are inviting residents to meet their city alders at an event scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. The gathering will take place at the Madison College Truax Campus.
Attendees will have the chance to meet several city alders representing Eastside and Northside districts. These include Alder Carmella Glenn of District 18, Alder Julia Matthews of District 12, Alder Derek Field of District 3, Alder Dina Nina Martinez-Rutherford of District 15, Alder Sean O'Brien of District 16, and Alder Sabrina V. Madison of District 17.
The event is free and open to the public. It will be held outside the Gallery at Truax near the Gateway entrance at 1701 Wright St., with light refreshments available. Registration is encouraged through www.cityofmadison.com/meetandgreetSept3. Parking information can be found on the Truax Campus Visitor Parking map.
The Madison College Community Impact Team worked in partnership with the City of Madison to organize this opportunity for community members to connect with their local representatives and learn more about their roles as Common Council members.
