The Verona Public Library is encouraging residents to participate in Library Card Sign-Up Month this September. The initiative highlights the various resources and services available with a library card, beyond borrowing books.

According to the library, cardholders have access to free classes, job resources, homework help, streaming media, and cultural events. These offerings are intended to connect community members with information and support for personal growth.

This year’s theme is “One Card, Endless Possibilities.” The library states that this message serves as a reminder that libraries serve all people regardless of age or background. "Whether you're diving into a new hobby, searching for your next great read, brushing up on tech skills, or helping your child succeed in school, it all starts with a library card," according to the announcement.

Library Card Sign-Up Month is an annual event at libraries across the country aimed at increasing awareness of what modern libraries offer their communities.
