The First Friday Coffee event at the Muskego Library recently featured State Senator Julian Bradley, who presented Carol Jilek, President of the Friends of the Muskego Library, with the Forward28 Award. Jilek was recognized for her leadership in raising funds to support educational and cultural programming at the library.

Senator Bradley commented on Jilek's contributions, stating, "Carol is the kind of neighbor who makes Muskego and our region stronger. Her tireless work to expand literacy and learning, support volunteers and library staff, and build a welcoming space for families is exactly what the Forward28 Award is about."

Jilek's approach has included detailed planning and dedication that has motivated both volunteers and staff. Her efforts have improved resources and programs at the library, benefiting many local residents.

Senator Bradley was elected to represent Wisconsin’s 28th Senate district in 2021 as a Republican, succeeding Dave Craig. More information about the Forward28 Award or how to nominate someone can be found at www.Forward28.com.
