Rep. Bob Donovan, a Republican elected in 2025 to represent Wisconsin's 61st House district, has used his social media platform this week to highlight issues related to law enforcement staffing and commemorate the anniversary of September 11.

On September 9, Donovan posted about an upcoming committee hearing: "Today will be a hearing in my committee, the Assembly Committee on Urban Revitalization, to discuss the challenges law enforcement face regarding staffing. It is important to hear directly from them and work toward solutions.

The following day, he provided an update on the meeting’s focus: "Yesterday, the Urban Revitalization Committee met to hear from law enforcement discuss officer recruitment challenges.

Police are trying, but hurdles exist. I look forward to pursuing solutions to ease them and reverse the downward trend in police recruitment. https://t.co/HYx6vFqxFT" (September 10, 2025).

On September 11, Donovan reflected on the anniversary of the September 11 attacks: "We remember those innocent lives taken from us 24 years ago, today. We remember the brave first responders who, against all odds, did their duty to protect and serve their community. It is because of their sacrifice that will never forget. https://t.co/P0LZc9kRES" (September 11, 2025).

Donovan assumed office after being elected in November 2024 and began representing Wisconsin’s newly redrawn District 61 in January of the following year.
