The City of Monona is inviting residents to take part in its Tree Program, which aims to improve the city’s tree canopy. The program provides an opportunity for community members to purchase native tree species selected by the City Forester at bulk prices from a preferred nursery. According to the city, these trees are well-suited for local environmental conditions.

Residents can also request help with delivery and planting from volunteers as part of the program. Orders must be placed by October 15.

"Participants will gain access to high-quality trees at bulk pricing from our Park’s preferred nursery. All trees are native species chosen by our City Forester and well-suited to Monona's environment. Participants can opt for assistance in delivery and planting from volunteers."

Further information on available tree types and pricing is available through the city's website.
